I’m not one to follow celebrity news and invade on peoples’ privacy like so many of those rags that occupy the grocery store checkout stands, but I was oddly affected—and I say that because I wouldn’t think something like this would bother me—when I heard of James Gandolfini’s passing. Wanting to increase the regularity of my drawing practices, I decided to do an homage to the man that occupied my television screen, and ultimately heart, as Tony Soprano. I’ve flagged his appearance on Inside the Actor’s Studio—which I’m sure will be a great watch—but haven’t had the time yet to take that in.
