Breaking Knowledge, Exercises

Breaking Knowledge

Without further ado, I’d like to announce my new weekly creative project: Breaking Knowledge. As the final episodes for Breaking Bad are fast approaching, I thought it might be nice to create something to celebrate one of the best shows of all time—in my opinion, anyways. (Which is what this blog is about right? So there!) Conveniently still undecided on my weekly exercise, this seemed like a natural fit.

The premise is simple: starting way back at season one, episode one, I’m going to pull at least one little kernel of knowledge from each episode, and then provide a relevant illustration (kind of like what you see above). It’s been a long time since I’ve put pencil to paper in any serious fashion, so things might not be terribly pretty on the outset, but that’s the idea!—practice makes perfect, or as close to it as one is likely to achieve.

As I’ve still got to put today’s (tonight’s, really) Week in Review together, you’ll have to wait until next week to see the first actual instalment.

The Review is coming up shortly.

  1. Hi, Colin —

I just started a “Breaking Bad” blog, too: Like you, I’m re-watching the show from the beginning, and trying to wring all the meaning out of it I can. I’ll be posting summaries and hope to get some conversations going. I look forward to your next post.
