Altered Timescapes — Memento

Again a little later than I had hoped for, but it’s been a busy week! This time it was work and not a video game so it’s a far more legit excuse. Anyways, here’s the second instalment of Altered Timescapes, my review of the work of Christopher Nolan and the role time plays in each film. In this episode we’re taking a look at Nolan’s second film — and his announcement to the world of his talents — Memento. Continue reading

Altered Timescapes — Following

A few days later than I had hoped to get this post up, but here it is none the less. Christopher Nolan, Part II

After seeing Inception for a second time and viewing a few of his previous films from my shelves, I felt it necessary to expand upon — or re-address — my statement regarding the constant presence of time as a thematic element. Over the next week, I’m going to watch his previous works — excluding the two Batman films which are fairly linear — and do a review of how time is relevant to the film, whether it be challenging the viewer’s perception or looking at how time can affect the mind. First up is Following, which I’ll be posting within the next day or two — keep your eyes open.
